Modern Roses XI says:
Long, pointed ovoid buds open to flowers deep golden yellow sometimes flushed orange, classic shape borne mostly singly with a slight fruity fragrance.  HT form, double 30 – 35 petals, 4.5 to 5 inch blooms.  Tall, upright, bushy growth with large, dark green foliage

Botanica’s has this to say:
This is a fine yellow rose for warmer countries.  In the USA it is called a Grandiflora, but the flower size qualifies it to be accepted as a Large-flowered Rose elsewhere.  The blooms are carried usually in open trusses, sometimes singly, and open from plump pointed buds into flowers of classic Large-flowered shape, with high centers that are maintained for some time while the outer petals reflex.  The color is basically a shining deep yellow, sometimes streaked with orange and light red, and there is a pleasing fruity fragrance.  For a bed or group or hedge where a large growing rose is wanted, and one that will keep on blooming through summer and autumn, this is an excellent choice, and it gives splendid flowers for cutting.  The plant grows tall and vigorously to above average height and is well furnished with deep green foliage.  ZONES 5-9.
